About Us

Abe & Mary’s has been family owned and operated for over 10 years, and to answer the burning question, Abe and Mary were the heads of the Claman family. In their memory, the restaurant has become a tribute to all they stood for. 

As a holocaust survivor, Mary had a passion for food, and a love of cooking for her family, always making sure everyone walked away from the table stuffed. 

 Our restaurant offers an array of fresh & healthy salads, soups, wraps, sandwiches, smoothies and juices. All our ingredients are fresh and all our dressings and soups are  homemade with love, just like Mary would want. And, of course, much like Mary, we believe in the power of chocolate and in “everything in moderation” so don’t forget a decadent dessert with your healthy meal.

As a tribute to both Mary & Abes’ battles with Alzheimer’s, the cause is near and dear to our hearts. We do our best to educate and raise funds for the cause, donating a portion of our profits to the Mary Katz Claman Memorial Fund benefiting the Jewish General Hospital’s ARAC (Alzheimer’s Risk Assessment Clinic).

We want Abe & Mary’s to feel like a home to all those who walk through our doors, with the same warm and inviting feeling Abe & Mary’s grandchildren felt every time they visited. We offer a wide variety of allergen free dishes, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. We are also a 100% peanut free facility.

We are Montreal’s “one stop shop” ready to provide our customers with everything they need with the best of gifting and apothecary from brands such as Molton Brown, LA Trading, French Cancan Popcorn, Voluspa & many more.
